What is collected
Aggregate analytics, covering which pages are viewed and how often.
The register runs two measurement tools, Vercel Analytics and Ahrefs Web Analytics. Both count page views without setting a cookie and without assigning a persistent identifier to a device. Measurements are aggregated rather than tied to a person, so the register cannot single out an individual visitor, reconstruct a path across sessions or build a profile.
Ahrefs additionally reports which searches and referring sites bring people here. To count a visitor once per day it combines the IP address with the browser user agent and passes the pair through a hash whose salt is replaced every twenty four hours. The raw address is never stored, and replacing the salt ends the ability to recognize a returning device the next day.
Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared with an advertising network. There is no advertising on this site and no advertising-related code in it.
Cookies
The site sets none.
A consent banner exists to obtain permission for cookies and similar tracking. This site does neither, so it asks for nothing. If that changes, the change is stated here first and consent is collected before any cookie is set.
What you send deliberately
The listing form on the contact page collects only what you type into it.
That is a company name, a website, a link to published work, your name and your email address. It is delivered by email so a submission can be reviewed, and it is used to assess the company against the inclusion rules and to reply to you. It is not added to a mailing list.
Company records
Every record in the register is built from material the company has already published.
Records describe organizations rather than individuals, and each field traces to a public source listed on the record with the date it was read. The register does not collect personal data about staff, and it does not record names of individuals as part of a company record.
Corrections and data questions
Raise either through the contact form, including a source where the request concerns a record.
Corrections that trace to published evidence are applied and the verification date is updated. Questions about what the register holds, or requests to remove a submission you sent, are answered at the same address. How ranking and verification work is set out on the methodology page.
